Automotive Technician

Position Overview:

As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in our repair process, ensuring accurate assessments and high-quality repairs. With a competitive wage of $26-30 per hour and a preference for candidates with at least 2 years of experience, this position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the automotive repair industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Service Advisors by disassembling vehicles to assess damage and prepare comprehensive Repair Plans.
• Execute repairs efficiently to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Follow work procedures outlined in work orders and adhere to industry standards.
• Perform various repair tasks, including dent repair, welding, and panel replacement.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively to complete repairs.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces to prepare vehicles for painting.
• Inspect repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance before returning them to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and comply with safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including washing cars and shop maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service-oriented with a friendly demeanor.
• 2 or more years of experience in auto body repair is preferred.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

• Work in a typical shop environment with occasional physical activity such as bending, kneeling, and lifting objects over 50lbs.
• Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and noise levels typical of an auto repair shop.
• Must wear protective equipment as required.
• Visual acuity required for accurate repair work.
